Family Fun Day
We had a great Weekend! Thankfully with all the changes that has been going on in our lives we have been able to spend more time together as a family. Which has brought about a change in each one of us. We had a great time this weekend and it was not because we were out blowing money on the kids, or going to some expensive parks and all that good stuff that has made the kids happy in the past. We just simply spent the weekend spending time with each other and having a great time. Saturday evening Paul cooked on the grill and we just hung out with the kids in the back yard and they enjoyed wrestling around with their dad. Sunday we got up ate breakfast at home and then took the kids out for a little while to explore their new hometown. We took them to the waterfront in St. Marys, Georgia. The kids really love the water so they really enjoyed walking around on the docks and playing at the park on the waterfront. They were really interested in the Cumberland Island visitors center and Alex now wants to go camping, which really shocked me. Alex is our little home body, He prefers to stay home most of the time where there is a television and computer. But, Alex picked up a map so he could pick where he was gonna go camping and informed us we would be going back every weekend to the waterfront. Tyler and Preston had a great time too and Tyler wants to go to Cumberland Island to see all the wild horses and Preston just didn't want to leave so he made dad and I chase him around the playground to catch him so we could go. So see you don't need a bunch to have a great weekend with the family, all you need is family and being together! |
